Take a bite of the Apple of Eden
Opening Thought:You know what, I'm going to costructively talk about the map in this opening, say something important. Okay so this is for Portorae, you're map is not an rpg, it has no elements of playing a role, you cant create a persona through interaction and you aren't taking on someone elses role, this is one big game of follow the leader (the leaer here being signs), some aspects will get you to use your brain, but this isn't an rpg.
Visual: This map succumbs to the usual issues of an over reliance on one particular block, but to my shock and amazement, that block isn't stone! It is instead sandstone, something that still causes all the buildings to blur together. But what makes this better than most maps like this is the sandstone. It might blur together but in my hed the blury yellowy sand stands out against the usual blury stone grey. Otherwise the buildings are really nicely done however the fact that the creator hasn't blocked off te boarders with something the land does look a bit like some sort of alien colony rather than Rome, so either a wall or mountains might fit on the outskirts.

Challenge:Can you follow thinly veiled instructions? Congratultions you can complete this map. This map really has very little difficulty, aside from a few times when I accidently skipped areas and got messed around, this map seemed fairly simple. My suggestion is give the map player a few options as to what the answer could be, sort of like a multiple choice exam.

Length:As much as I would like to make definitive statements about the length I can't because there is no end to this map. At the moment the map is a good length, not dragging you around for too long but keeping that perfect length that keeps it fun. I'm giving it a good score, but you either need to end it in that wool cave or give me something interesting to do an the score will rise.

Puzzle Variety/Story:Well I have to score you on this area but because of you style I'm not sure what to say, let me put it this way; of all the game types that needs to marry the warring factions of gameplay and story, its the RPG that relies most heavily on a chieving this, but here there is no real story and the challenges aren't difficult enouhg to support ome sort of gameplay (Which sort of shoots the whole Follow the leader thing in the foot). As such I recommend either adding a proper story and fixing the gameplay difficulty OR just fix the difficulty.

Things that need Improvement:
- Visual Colouring
- Visual Boarders
- An Ending
- Difficulty
- Story?
Things that need No-Improvement:- Visual Design
- Length thus far.
Final Thoughts:This map is a deccent enough start, but I couldn't call it finished, thats not just because of the lack of an ending. This map needs a real difficulty increase, I know I have said that 4 times now but it is th biggest problem with this game, the clues point straight to the destination and take all the challenge out of the map. Once this map gets its fangs and finally ends then I'd give it a full recomendation, as it stands.. take a look at the pictures and wait.
Percentage Score: 52%
